For couples

Your information

Last updated: September 5, 2026

You probably arrived here from a page your filmmaker sent you: a quote, a contract to sign, or a gallery with your films in it. Our name is at the bottom of those pages, so here is who we are and what we have.

Who we are

Hailo is the software your filmmaker runs their business on. They use it to send you a quote, take your booking, and deliver your films. We are not your filmmaker and we did not shoot your wedding. Think of us as the filing cabinet and the delivery van.

What we hold

Whatever you gave your filmmaker through one of those pages, and whatever they added about your wedding:

  • Your names, email address and phone number
  • Your wedding date, venue and the details of what you booked
  • Anything you typed into a form or questionnaire
  • Your signed contract, along with the date and time you signed it
  • Your photos and films, once your filmmaker uploads them

It is your filmmaker's to look after

All of it belongs to your relationship with them, not with us. They decide what to collect, who sees it, and when it goes. We hold it on their behalf and do as they ask.

So if you want something corrected, sent to you, or deleted, ask your filmmaker first. They can do all of it themselves and they will get to you faster than we will. If you cannot reach them, write to us through the contact page and we will help.

Your films

Your gallery stays up for a year from the day your filmmaker delivers it, and then it comes down. Download anything you want to keep before then. Your filmmaker can tell you the exact date, and they can extend it.

Galleries are private to the link you were given. They are not listed anywhere and they do not turn up in search results.

Faces in your footage

To sort hundreds of clips, Hailo works out what each one is: a wide shot of the room, a close-up, the two of you. Part of that is recognising which of the people on screen are the couple, so a portrait of one of you with a parent does not get filed as a portrait of you both.

That happens on your filmmaker's own computer while they work, and it is switched off in seconds if they prefer. Nothing about anyone's face is saved, and none of it is sent to us. What survives is a note on each clip saying whether you appear in it.

What we never do

  • We do not sell your information. Not to anyone, for any price.
  • We do not advertise to you, and we do not let anyone else use your details to advertise to you.
  • We do not use your wedding films to train artificial intelligence.
  • We do not watch your films, and nobody here goes looking through your gallery.

Where it lives

On servers in the United States, run by companies we pay to keep them secure. Everything travels encrypted, and only a small number of people at Hailo can reach customer data at all, for support and for keeping the service running.

If something ever went wrong and your information was exposed, we would tell the people affected, as the law requires.

If you want more detail

This page is the plain version, written for you. The full policy covering our filmmaker customers is at hailo.studio/privacy, and our terms are at hailo.studio/terms.
