Stanton has filmed weddings for over ten years under Films by Stanton, and Love Stories TV named him Wedding Filmmaker of the Year in 2022 and 2023. He also founded The Roam Experience, the international retreat where wedding filmmakers go to sharpen the craft and the business behind it.
Hailo came from the same place. He kept meeting filmmakers who were excellent at the work and buried by everything around it, and he had been one of them. So he built the tool he wanted, and he still tests every feature on his own weddings before anyone else sees it.
Kaella co-owns and runs Love & Lore Films, an editorial wedding film studio she has helped build and grow over the years. At Hailo, she leads support, onboarding, communications, and the Help Library. She is often the person replying to your message, sharing resources online, or appearing in Hailo content. As a working wedding filmmaker and business owner herself, she understands the questions filmmakers have and what they need to keep moving.
What we kept running into.
Two hours digging through 800 GB to find the usable clips. Five tools that each charge $30 a month and don't know the others exist. A whole Sunday answering clients from the wrong inbox. Hailo takes that off your plate so the only decisions left are the creative ones.
Most filmmaker software is built by software people who saw a market. The auto-trim came from staring at 12 hour Saturday rushes. Hailo sorts the whole day, syncs every camera and recorder, and hands the timeline to your editor, because that part is the grunt work. What it doesn't do is decide the story.
Today Hailo does three things well: client management, footage editing, and client delivery. The goal is the entire shape of running a small filmmaking business inside one app. We'll ship the rest when it's actually good, not before.

Three things we won't compromise on.
Your media stays on your machine. We don't suck terabytes of wedding footage into the cloud to "process" it. Local-first means faster, cheaper, and your work doesn't disappear if we do.
Hailo culls, sorts and syncs, because that is the part that eats your week. It doesn't decide which moments matter or what the story is. That judgment is the job, and it stays yours.
Not your client list. Not your footage. Not your billing history. Not anonymized aggregate "insights" sold to platform partners. Your business is your business.
