A wedding highlight video template made from a finished film

This wedding highlight video template is not a pack of titles or transitions. A blueprint is a finished highlight film with its footage taken out: the cuts, the song and the pacing stay, and Hailo refills every cut with shots from your wedding. Blueprints opens October 25, 2026.

What a wedding highlight video template should be

Search for a wedding film template and you mostly find title packs and effects for Premiere Pro or After Effects. They dress up a film you still have to cut. The hard part of a wedding highlight film is the structure: which moment goes where, how long each shot holds, where the song lifts.

A blueprint starts from that structure. Each one is a finished edit whose cuts, song and pacing already work, and each cut knows what it is asking for. Hailo reads your sorted wedding and finds the shot each cut wants, so you start from an assembled film instead of an empty timeline.

From a finished film to your film

Pick a blueprint from the gallery and watch its sample film, with the song's waveform and every cut marked under it. Choose a wedding you have already sorted by moment and click build. Nothing is analyzed again.

An AI that looks at frames from your footage picks each shot. Each shot plays only the parts your shake trimming settings keep, except on the dance floor. The finished build plays inside Hailo with its timeline under it: click any shot to step through other candidates for that cut, nudge the moment inside the clip, and apply a different pick.

Then it opens in your editor exactly as it plays, with the same cuts and the song in place. That is still wedding highlight video editing you finish yourself. Hailo does not grade, mix or render the film for delivery.

How you build from a blueprint

  1. Click Edit with Blueprints on the Edit launchpad, or Blueprint edit on a couple's Edit hub.
  2. Open a blueprint and watch its sample film.
  3. Under Which wedding should Hailo build this from?, choose a sorted wedding and click Build this film.
  4. Review the build: click any shot to try another candidate, then apply your pick.
  5. Open it in your editor with the cuts and the song in place.

Questions filmmakers ask

How long should a wedding highlight video be?

Long enough to tell the day and short enough that the couple watches it again. A highlight is usually cut to music, so the song often sets the length. With Blueprints you choose the length by choosing the film: each blueprint shows its runtime and cut count, and your build keeps both, since every cut and the song stay in place.

Can AI edit a wedding highlight film?

It can assemble one. A blueprint supplies the structure, the song and the pacing, and an AI that looks at frames from your footage picks the shot for each cut, playing only what your shake settings keep, except on the dance floor. You get an assembled film in your editor to change, not a finished deliverable: the story choices, the grade and the sound are still yours. Blueprints opens October 25, 2026.

How do you cut a wedding video to the beat?

Play the song and drop a marker on each beat or change you want to cut on, then lay shots between the markers. To cut to the beat in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve, the marker key is M in all three. Cutting on every beat tires fast; cut where the song turns. In a blueprint the cuts already sit on the song, so you start from a finished rhythm.

What is a wedding highlight film template?

Usually a pack of titles, transitions or effects for Premiere Pro or After Effects. Hailo's wedding highlight video template is different: a finished highlight film with its footage removed, so its cuts, song and pacing stay and Hailo refills each cut with your wedding. Blueprints opens on October 25, 2026.
