A CRM app for Mac, built for wedding filmmakers

Hailo is a CRM app for Mac, made for wedding filmmakers: it installs like any other app, signs you in with Touch ID and updates itself in one click. It runs your inquiries, contracts, invoices and delivery in the same place as the footage side of your studio.

Everything in your account

11 of the 227 things Hailo can do.

A CRM app for Mac, not another browser tab

Many CRMs live in a browser tab. Hailo is CRM software for Mac that you download and install, built for Apple silicon on macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. Intel Macs, Windows and Linux are not supported today.

When a new version is ready, an Update tile appears in the sidebar. One click installs it and reopens Hailo, with no password to type and no file to drag.

The Mac app is where the footage side lives, since Edit needs your drive plugged in. Manage and Deliver also open in any browser at app.hailo.studio, so an invoice or a gallery is never stuck at your desk. Day to day, Manage starts on a dashboard that knows your week.

Plans, the free trial and locked terms

Hailo has three plans, and the pricing page lists what each includes. Manage, the CRM side, comes with Studio and Pro and is not sold on its own. Every plan starts with a free trial: a card is taken up front, nothing is charged until the trial ends, and cancelling before then costs nothing.

What you buy is what you keep. Your price and every limit on your plan are locked when you buy, and they only change when you switch plans or cancel. If Hailo later changes a plan for new members, your account stays where it was.

Usage meters on the billing page show what you have used this month, and a busy month can add extra tokens or delivery room without a plan change.

Security on every login

Built for one filmmaker signing in from their own Mac:

  • Two-factor sign-in: turn it on and, after your password, Hailo emails a six-digit code to finish logging in.
  • Recovery codes: a set of one-time codes for the day the email does not arrive.
  • Trusted devices: tick one box and your own Mac skips the code for 30 days.
  • Touch ID: on a Mac with Touch ID, your fingerprint signs you in and counts as the second step.
  • Sign out everywhere: a password reset cuts off every Mac at once, and each has to sign in again.
  • Export everything: download your couples as a spreadsheet, or your whole workspace as one backup file.

Is it the right Mac CRM for your studio

Hailo fits a wedding film studio run from a Mac that wants inquiries, proposals, contracts, invoices, a calendar and delivery in the same app as the footage. Moving in is a self-serve import from most CRMs, covered under switching to Hailo.

It does not fit yet if you need team seats: every plan is one login, with no second-shooter or editor accounts. QuickBooks and Zapier are not built either, and outside the US some of the wording is still American, though the money is right.

How you get started

  1. Pick a plan on the pricing page and start your free trial.
  2. Set a password, then install the Mac app and open it.
  3. Under Settings > Account, turn on two-factor and save your recovery codes.
  4. Log in once with Keep me logged in ticked, and the next launch offers Use Touch ID.

Questions filmmakers ask

What is the best CRM for Mac?

It depends on the business it has to run. For wedding filmmakers, Hailo is a Mac app that handles the front office, delivery and the footage side together, and opens timelines in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve. If you need team seats, Windows or QuickBooks today, it is not the right fit yet.

Is there a native CRM app for Mac?

Yes. Hailo is a Mac app you download and install, not a website in a tab. It runs on Apple silicon Macs with macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, signs in with Touch ID and updates from a tile in its own sidebar. Manage and Deliver also open in a browser when you are away.

Does the free trial need a card?

Yes. Hailo takes a card when you start so the trial rolls straight into your plan, but nothing is charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel before then at no cost. Apple Pay and Google Pay work at checkout where your Mac or browser offers them.

Will my price go up after I sign up?

No. Your price and limits are locked at what you bought, and they only change when you switch plans or cancel. If Hailo raises a price for new members, you keep paying what you signed up for. Switching between monthly and annual billing counts as a new purchase at that day's rate.

What software do videographers use?

For the film itself, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve, and all three run on a Mac. Hailo sits before the editor: it offloads your cards, sorts and syncs the footage, and opens an organized timeline in whichever of the three you use. It does not grade, mix or export your film. The business side, from inquiry to invoice, lives in the same app.
