Deliver the film

A wedding video gallery that looks like your studio

A wedding video gallery is the first thing a couple sees of your work after the wedding, so it should look like your studio, not like a video host. Hailo's gallery editor shows the page exactly as the couple will see it, with eleven tools on one rail and every change saved as you type.

Start from a look, then make it yours

Every gallery starts from a look: Gallery with a rounded hero and a rail of the day's films, Cinematic dark and full-bleed, Minimal with the film and little else, Heritage on cream paper with sage ornaments, and Editorial, Storybook, Liquid Glass and Atelier beside them. Switch looks whenever you like. Your films, words, cover and settings stay put; only the design changes.

Colors come from your studio brand by default (Cinematic and Heritage keep their own palette unless you set one). Open the Brand panel to set one-off colors for a single gallery, and reset to your studio colors with one click. Once a gallery looks the way you want, save it as a preset, a look plus your settings under a name, so the next couple's page starts there. That is what branded video galleries should mean for a studio: your design every time, without rebuilding it.

The first screen: an entry splash and a music bed

The splash is the screen the couple meets before anything else: their names over the cover and one button, Enter your gallery. Choose a style (Center, Veil, Monogram with their initials in a ring, or Split, paper beside the photo), write the one line under their names, and let the backdrop follow the cover or give it a photo of its own. A live preview shows it at size.

Add a track and it plays under the page, then fades out when a film starts and comes back after. Set the volume, swap the track or remove it. Browsers need a click before sound can play, and the splash's button is that click, so the two work as a pair. Use music you hold a license for, since everyone who opens the page hears it.

Video gallery page design: sections in your order

The Layout panel decides what the wedding video gallery holds. Drag sections into the order you want and switch off what you do not: the intro line, your personal note, extra films, downloads (on most looks), the review prompt, upsells and vendor credits. The cover and the feature film always show, and so does the footer on every look that has one. Hiding a section never deletes what is in it, so it comes back as you left it.

Two of those sections pay you back. Upsells put raw footage, an extra edit or an album on the page with a Buy button, priced from your catalog.

The other is goodwill. Vendor credits name and link the photographer, planner, florist and venue on the page the couple shares.

The cover, the films and your words

A new gallery takes a 15-second loop from the feature film as its cover the moment that film lands, so the page is alive before you touch it. Replace it with a cut you choose (5 to 30 seconds from any point in the film), a photo you frame and zoom, or a separate short banner video.

The Films panel holds every film's name, thumbnail and order, and which one is the main film. The Page panel holds the words: a title (the couple's names unless you type one), an intro line and a personal note signed with your name and photo. Hailo writes a starter note addressed to the couple so the page is never blank, and never writes over one you have typed. The footer carries your studio name, the social icons you choose and a sign-off line.

A wedding video gallery that runs on your domain too

Design is half of how the page reads; the address is the other half. Put galleries on your own web address, give each link the couple's names, and choose the picture and title that show when you text it.

How you use it in Hailo

  1. Open a gallery from its card on the Deliver launchpad, or click Build the gallery at the end of the wizard.
  2. Click Preset at the top to choose a look, or apply one of your saved presets.
  3. Open Layout and drag the sections into your order, switching off any you do not want.
  4. Work down the rail: Entry for the splash and music, then Cover, Films, Page and Footer.
  5. Open Preset and click Save this as a preset so the next gallery starts the same way.

Questions filmmakers ask

How do I make a video gallery for clients?

In Hailo, pick the couple, drop in the films and click Build the gallery. You land in an editor that shows their page as they will see it. Choose a look, set the cover, write your note and arrange the sections, then publish and email them the link from your own mailbox. The page is an online video gallery they open in any browser.

Can I brand a client video gallery?

Yes. Most looks use your studio colors unless you set one-off colors for a gallery, and your studio name, social links and sign-off sit in the footer. Fonts are set once for the whole studio in Settings. Save a finished design as a preset and every wedding film gallery after it starts in your style.

What should a wedding film delivery page include?

The film first, then whatever helps the couple keep and share it: a cover with their names, a personal note, the other films, a way to download, and a way to reach you. Add a review prompt, add-ons to buy and vendor credits where they suit your studio. A good wedding video page leaves out anything that does not serve the couple, which is why every section in Hailo can be hidden.

Can I add music to a video gallery?

Yes. Add an MP3, M4A, AAC or WAV track in the Entry panel and set its volume. It plays under the page and fades out when a film starts. Because browsers need a click before playing sound, keep the entry splash on so its button gives them that click. Use a track you are licensed to share.
