A Pic-Time alternative for wedding film delivery

If you are weighing a Pic-Time alternative because your studio delivers wedding films rather than photos, Hailo starts from the film. Pic-Time is an online gallery and sales platform built for professional photographers, and it also delivers video in HD or 4K. Hailo gives the film a page of its own, in 4K, in the same app where you book the couple and sort the footage.

Pic-Time for video, in its own words

Pic-Time's video delivery puts full-length featured videos and short clips beside the photos in one gallery, in HD or 4K. You can embed them, set download permissions, and sell videos from the store or straight from the gallery. Featured videos go up as .mp4 or .mov files, and short clips are always downloadable by the client.

Around that sits a photographer's toolkit: client galleries, AI search by keyword and face, a print store with more than 30 lab partners, an AI album designer, slideshows, blogs, sales automations, a mobile app and a vendor network. If you shoot photo and video under one brand, a single link that holds both is a real advantage, and Hailo does not offer it.

A gallery that starts from the film

A Hailo gallery is built around the feature film. The couple opens an entry splash with their names and your line, a music bed that fades out when the film starts, and a cover cut from the film itself. The player picks the best quality their connection can carry, up to 4K, and the download sheet offers the full 4K file or a smaller 1080p copy. More on that in 4K delivery.

Below the film come your personal note and signature, any extra films, a Google review prompt, the add-ons you sell, credits for every vendor from the day, and your footer. You choose which of those show and in what order.

Where Hailo works as a Pic-Time alternative

Hailo is a wedding video delivery platform, but the gallery is its last step, not the whole product. The same app runs the front office: an inquiry form for your website, a lead pipeline, proposals the couple signs and pays from their phone, invoices with payment plans, and automations that stop when the couple writes back. Publishing a gallery marks the project delivered, so the couple's record closes itself out.

Before delivery, Hailo handles the footage. It offloads every card at once and verifies each file, labels every main camera clip by wedding moment with a sentence on what is in the shot, and trims the shaky stretches without touching your originals. It syncs up to eight camera angles with your lavs and recorders, cuts the ceremony and the toasts as real multicams you can re-cut, and opens all of it in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.

What you give up by moving

Anyone comparing Pic-Time alternatives should know the trade before switching. Hailo delivers films only: there is no photo gallery, no proofing, no print store, no album designer and no photo search. Hailo's wording is American English throughout, while Pic-Time's site comes in seven languages.

Gallery lifetime differs too. A Hailo gallery closes a year after its newest film was uploaded, unless you buy extra years for it or let the couple pay you for them. Hailo is a delivery page, not an archive, so your own drive should always hold the master. Every limit is listed on what Hailo does.

How you deliver a film in Hailo

  1. In Deliver, click Start a gallery and pick the couple, or add them on the spot.
  2. Drop in the film. When the full-quality copy is live, its card in the Films panel reads 4K ready.
  3. In the gallery editor, choose a look and set the splash, the music, the cover and your note.
  4. Add vendor credits and upsells from your catalog, and set a password, or turn downloads off on looks that offer it, if you want.
  5. Click Publish. The project is marked delivered, and Send to couple emails the link from your own mailbox.

Questions filmmakers ask

Is Pic-Time good for wedding videographers?

It can be, especially for a studio that delivers photos and video together. Pic-Time video delivery shows featured films and short clips beside photos in HD or 4K, with embeds, download permissions and video sales. Its center of gravity is the photographer: galleries, a print store and an album designer. A filmmaker who delivers films only, and wants bookings and footage handled in the same app, is who Hailo is built for.

Can Hailo deliver photos and films in one gallery?

No. A Hailo gallery holds films. A photo can be its cover, but there is no photo gallery, proofing or print store, and stills delivery is not built. If the couple's photographer delivers through Pic-Time, the simplest answer is two links: their photos there, your film in Hailo, each on the page made for it.

Do Hailo galleries stream in 4K?

Yes. Upload a 4K export and the couple streams it and can download it in 4K. The player steps up to the best quality their connection can carry, and the download sheet offers the full file or a lighter 1080p copy. Hailo never upscales: a 1080p export stays 1080p, and the Films panel tells you which one you uploaded.

How long does a Hailo gallery stay online?

A year from its newest film upload. Add another film and the date moves on a year from that one. When a couple wants it longer, you can buy extra years for the gallery, or set a price and let them pay you for more time. They are emailed a month and a week before it closes, so nobody loses their film by surprise.
