How the couple signs

The Sign step shows the whole contract above the signing block, under the heading Review and sign. The couple can Draw a signature, or Type their name and pick one of three signature faces. Then they enter their full legal name, tick the box agreeing that this is their legal electronic signature and that they accept the terms, and click Sign and continue.

The button stays off until all three are done, and a bar at the bottom of the page reminds them there is one signature to go. Payment waits until the contract is signed, so nobody pays a deposit on terms they have not agreed to. That is the practical answer to how to get a contract signed online: one link, and the signature comes before the money.

The record behind each signature

An electronic signature for contracts is only as useful as what you can show later. With each signature Hailo keeps the typed legal name, the date and time, the device and IP address it came from, the consent, whether it was drawn or typed, and a record of the exact contract text that was signed. That audit record is what makes the agreement tamper-evident if it is ever disputed.

If a signature comes in without a name or without the consent box ticked, the couple is sent back to the Sign step and nothing is recorded.

Countersign to lock the booking

The moment the couple signs, Hailo notifies you in the app, emails you and writes it to the lead's activity. An amber banner on the lead suggests waiting for the retainer to land before you countersign, because your signature is what locks the booking on your side.

Countersign from that banner, from the notification or from the Booking tab. Draw or type your signature, tick Remember this signature for next time so it is ready on the next one, type your name and click Countersign. If the deposit is already paid, the lead becomes Booked. If not, the booking completes the moment the payment lands.

One signed PDF after online contract signing

Once both signatures are in, the booking page offers Download your signed contract (PDF), and Hailo emails the couple the same countersigned file. It holds the contract text, both signature images, both names with their dates, how each signature was made and the consent statement. That email is the only contract email the couple gets, so it never hides among duplicates.
