A videographer pricing guide couples can pick from

A videographer pricing guide tells a couple what you offer, what is in each package and how to book, and in Hailo it is a page they can act on. Your packages and add-ons become an investment guide that couples browse and pick from, with the total updating as they go, instead of a PDF they read and then email you about.

What goes in a videographer pricing guide

Whatever form it takes, a wedding videographer pricing guide tends to answer the same handful of questions, in roughly this order. This is general guidance on structure. What you charge is yours to decide.

  • Who you are. A short welcome and a line or two on how you film, so the numbers have context.
  • Your packages. Each with a name, the hours of coverage and a plain list of what is included.
  • Add-ons. The extras a couple can stack on top: more coverage, drone, a second shooter, raw footage, another film.
  • What each one means. Enough description that a couple can tell two packages apart without a call.
  • Recent work. A film or two, so they can see what they are buying.
  • How to book. The next step, the retainer, and what happens after they say yes.

Your catalog is the price list

Everything starts in the Catalog under Templates. A package has the name couples see, a one-paragraph description, a base price, its default coverage hours and an inclusions list, where each line becomes a bullet on the proposal. Archive a package you have retired and it leaves the pickers, while the proposals that used it keep it.

A la carte items are your wedding videography add ons, each with a client-facing description, a price and a category: coverage, drone, edits, rush, raw footage, additional films, albums or other. Write a description once and it reads the same everywhere the item appears, including the extras you offer on a delivery gallery later. Selling add-ons from the gallery covers that end.

An investment guide couples pick from

Hailo turns your collections and add-ons into an investment guide a couple pages through, picks from and books. They choose a collection, switch on the add-ons they want, and the contract and deposit fill in from what they chose, so the booking that follows already matches the package. Investment guides are in beta.

You decide how each guide reads: a page at a time, like a printed pricing guide, or as one long page. The switch sits beside Design in the guide's editor and saves with the guide.

Send a guide to a lead from Templates, or switch on its public link and put it on your website or your Instagram profile. With your own web address connected in Settings, the public link lives there as a short /guide address, and the couple books without leaving your site.

When a couple finishes your guide, the next step can start by itself through an automation, such as a follow-up email you would otherwise have to remember.

Not a PDF, and no prices from us

Searches for a videography price list template or a wedding videography pricing template usually end at a downloadable file, and Hailo has no file to give you. The guide is a live page built from your catalog, so a price you change there is the price on the next proposal you build, with nothing to export.

Hailo also will not tell you what to charge, and you will not find price ranges here. A wedding videography pricing guide written for couples comparing costs is a different kind of page; this one is for the filmmaker building their own. If you came from photography, where the photography investment guide is a familiar format, the idea carries over: your offer, your numbers, and one clear way to say yes.

How you use it in Hailo

  1. Open Templates > Catalog and add a package for each collection: the name couples see, a description, a base price, hours and inclusions.
  2. Add each add-on as an a la carte item with its own description and price.
  3. Build the investment guide from your collections and add-ons, then pick its design and whether it reads a page at a time or as one long page.
  4. Send it to a lead from Templates, or switch on its public link for your website or Instagram.
  5. The couple picks, signs and pays the deposit, with the contract and deposit already matching what they chose.
  6. Edit the Investment guide link email once in Templates, and every guide you send uses it.

Questions filmmakers ask

What should a videographer pricing guide include?

A short welcome, your packages with the hours and what is in each, the add-ons a couple can stack on, a film or two, and how to book. Describe each package well enough that a couple can tell them apart without a call. In Hailo, the descriptions and inclusions you write in the catalog are exactly what couples read on the page.

How do I price wedding videography packages?

That decision is yours, and Hailo will not suggest numbers or ranges. What Hailo does is make your structure easy to change. The catalog's own hint is to start with three tiers, small, medium and large, and each package carries its own price, hours and inclusions. Change a price in the catalog and the next proposal you build carries it.

What add-ons can a wedding videographer offer?

Extra coverage hours, drone, a second shooter, raw footage, rush editing, additional films and albums are all typical. Hailo's catalog files add-ons under coverage, drone, edits, rush, raw footage, additional films, albums and other, and shows them on the proposal with a toggle, so a couple can add or drop one and watch the total change before they sign.

Should I send my pricing guide before or after the discovery call?

Either can work, and it depends on how you sell. Sending it first lets couples rule themselves in or out before you spend a call on them. Holding it until after lets you shape the offer around what you heard. Hailo supports both: couples can book a discovery call on your own page, and the Bold Couture design was made for the moment after that call.
