Find your way around Settings
Learn how the Settings rail is organised, what each row opens and which pages save on their own.
Settings is one screen with a rail of rows on the left and a pane on the right. Click a row and its page opens in the pane. You never leave Settings to change something, and most pages save as you type.
Open it from Settings at the bottom of the sidebar, or from your avatar menu.
The split pane
The rail lists every settings page. The pane on the right shows the page for the row you picked. When Settings opens, the pane already shows Account so it is never empty.
- The row you are on stays highlighted in the rail.
- If you reload, the same page comes back in the pane.
Two rows behave differently on purpose:
| Row | What happens |
|---|---|
| Vendors | Opens the full Vendors screen instead of the pane, because the New vendor button lives on that screen. |
| Embed forms | The list opens in the pane. Editing a form opens the full-width form builder. |
Import from another CRM opens its picker in the pane. Choosing a CRM then moves you to the full-page import wizard.
Group 1: Workspace and branding
These rows are about you, your studio and how your paperwork looks.
| Row | What it holds | What the row shows next to its name |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Your profile picture, password, sign-in email, two-factor, this Mac, the app theme, data export and account deletion. | Nothing |
| Your studio | An expandable group. Click it to reveal five rows underneath. | Your business name |
| Your details (inside Your studio) | Business name, owner, email, phone, website and your studio link name. | Nothing |
| Links (inside Your studio) | Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo, Facebook and your Google review link. | Nothing |
| Logo and colors (inside Your studio) | Logo, square mark, fonts, palette, corner roundness and the Custom app theme. | Nothing |
| Proposals and invoices (inside Your studio) | Proposal banner and footer, invoice header and footer bands. | Nothing |
| Fonts (inside Your studio) | The typeface library: preloaded faces plus your uploads. | "N of your own" once you have uploaded a font, otherwise "Upload yours" |
| Defaults | Mailing address, tax rate, deposit, payment terms, lead window and the text pre-filled into documents. | "Tax, terms, contract language" |
| Vendors | The roster of planners, venues and other vendors that pre-fills event forms and gallery credits. | "N saved" or "Add your first" |
| Notifications | Which events ping the bell, which also email you, and how often. | Nothing |
| Your editor | Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve, plus the time-tracking breakdown and the multicam permission. | The editor you chose, or "Choose your editor" |
The Your studio group opens on its own whenever one of its five rows is the active page, so a direct link into Logo and colors never lands you in a collapsed group.
Group 2: Connections and billing
These rows connect Hailo to other services and to money.
| Row | What it holds | What the row shows next to its name |
|---|---|---|
| Import from another CRM | Bring leads, clients and projects over from another system. | Nothing |
| Integrations | Gmail, another mailbox, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Stripe, Square, Instagram, scheduling links, Google Meet, Zoom and reply capture. | "N connected" |
| Embed forms | Your inquiry forms and the form builder. | "N configured" |
| Your domain | Put delivery galleries on your own domain. | Nothing |
| Call scheduler | Your public page where couples book a discovery call. | Nothing |
| Client payment methods | The ways couples can pay you: Stripe, Square, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, check, wire. | Nothing |
| Hailo Billing | Your Hailo subscription, usage and receipts. | Nothing |
| Data & Learning | Whether Hailo shares moment labels and thumbnails from your analyses. | Nothing |
An extra row, Engine (admin), appears only on Hailo's own staff accounts. You will not see it.
"Call scheduler" is where couples book a call with you. It is not the Booking page a couple reaches from a proposal to review, sign and pay. Those are different screens.
Which pages save on their own
Most settings pages autosave. There is no Save button; a status line near the top reads All saved once your change is stored.
| Saves as you go | Needs a button |
|---|---|
| Account (theme, profile picture after you crop) | Defaults: Save changes |
| Your details, Links, Logo and colors, Proposals and invoices | Fonts: Add to library |
| Notifications | Call scheduler: Save |
| Your editor | Your domain: the walkthrough's own steps |
| Client payment methods | Embed form builder: Save URL settings for the slug and Active switch (everything else autosaves) |
| Data & Learning: Turn off sharing / Turn sharing back on |
Text fields on the autosave pages store when you leave the field, not on every keystroke. A few of them come back changed on purpose (a website gains "https://", an Instagram handle drops its "@", a studio link name is cleaned up). The box updates to show what was actually stored.
If it didn't work
- A page opens with nothing highlighted in the rail. Click the row again. If the page you wanted is inside Your studio, expand the group first.
- The status line says "Couldn't save". Check your connection and change the field again. Nothing was stored until the line reads All saved.
- You can't find Business Profile or Branding. Those pages were merged. Name, contact and links are under Your studio. Mailing address, tax and contract language are under Defaults. The app theme is on Account.
