The notification bell
Read what the bell badge means, use the panel and the See all page, and find where to choose which events ring the bell or email you.
The bell in the top bar collects what happened across all three wings: a new inquiry, a finished analysis, a couple opening their gallery. The number on it is everything unread in Hailo, not only on the screen you are on.
The badge
A count appears on the bell when you have unread notifications. It refreshes on its own while Hailo is open. When everything is read, the count disappears.
The panel
- Click the bell. Its tooltip reads "Notifications".
- The panel lists your latest notifications, newest first, with a timestamp on each.
- Click a notification to open the record it is about, if it has one.
- Press Esc or click outside to close.
The panel header has two controls:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Mark all read | Clears the badge and marks everything as read |
| See all | Opens the full Notifications page |
When there is nothing yet, the panel reads: "Nothing yet. New leads, completed renders, and client activity will show up here."
The wing rails
Each notification has a thin rail on its left edge that tells you which wing it came from. Manage is the brightest, Edit a little dimmer, Deliver dimmer still. Each kind of event also carries its own small icon.
The Notifications page
See all opens a page titled Notifications with every notification, not only the latest. It has its own Mark all read button at the top, and each row can be opened or marked read on its own. When the list is empty it reads "No notifications yet."
What can ring the bell
Sixteen events can notify you. All of them ring the bell by default; none email you by default.
| Wing | Events |
|---|---|
| Manage | New lead, Consult scheduled, Client replied, Booking confirmed, Contract signed, Payment received, Payment marked sent, Payment reminder sent, Wedding coming up, Pipeline stage moved |
| Edit | Editing plan ready, Pipeline finished, Pipeline failed |
| Deliver | Delivery page viewed, Film downloaded, Upsell purchased |
Choose which events notify you
Go to Settings > Notifications. For each event you can turn the bell on or off, add an email, and choose whether emails arrive at once or as a daily or weekly digest. See Notifications settings.
If it didn't work
The badge shows a number but the panel is empty. Click See all. The panel shows the most recent 30; older unread items are on the page.
A notification you expected never arrived. Check Settings > Notifications. If the bell is off for that event, nothing is recorded for it, and no email goes out either.
Every timestamp says the same thing. Give it a moment and reopen the panel. Times are refreshed with the list.
