What Hailo is

Learn what the three wings hold, where each one opens, and what Hailo does not replace.

Hailo is one Mac app for wedding and event filmmakers. It books the couple, sorts the footage and delivers the film, and it keeps all three in one record so nothing gets typed twice.

The three wings

Hailo is split into three wings. The pill in the top bar moves between them.

Wing What it holds
Manage Your front office. Leads, clients, proposals, contracts, invoices, payments, the calendar, email and automations.
Edit The footage side. Offloading cards, labelling every clip by moment, multicam, ceremony and speeches films, Blueprints, and the hand-off to your editor.
Deliver The page your couple watches the film on. Galleries, covers, downloads, review requests, upsells, vendor credits and the emails that follow a delivery.

A couple booked in Manage is the same couple whose footage you open in Edit and whose gallery you build in Deliver. You pick them from a list. You never retype their names.

One workspace per studio

Each studio has one Hailo workspace. Your clients, projects, invoices, galleries and settings live in it, and one email address signs in to it. There is no team or seat management yet, so Hailo is a single-seat app today.

It is a Mac app

Hailo is a desktop app that runs on macOS 12 or later. There is no Windows or Linux version, and no web-only version of the whole product. You download it from hailo.studio/download, drag it to Applications and open it like any other app.

Where each wing opens

Edit works only in the Mac app, with the footage drive attached. Manage and Deliver work in the app and also open in a browser at app.hailo.studio, so you can check a lead, send an invoice or look at a gallery when you are away from your Mac. The first-run setup wizard runs in the app only.

If the connection drops while you are in Manage or Deliver, the app shows a Reconnecting screen and picks up on its own. See Offline and reconnecting.

What Hailo is not

Hailo is not a replacement for Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve. You still cut the film in your editor. Hailo does the work before that: it labels every clip by moment, trims the stretches you would never use, lines up your cameras, builds the ceremony and speeches films, and opens the result in the editor you already cut in.

Hailo also does not write your client emails or make your creative decisions. Email templates are yours to fill in, and every film Hailo builds is a starting point you finish yourself.
