Shot lists

A shot list is the checklist you hand a second shooter: sections for the day, shots inside each. Build one under Templates > Shot lists, duplicate it for each couple, edit for their day, and download the PDF. The list page says it in one line: "Build one, duplicate it per couple, hand it to your second shooter."

The list page

The subtitle counts your lists and total shots. Each card shows the list's name, its shot count, a chip per section with that section's count (after five, "+N more"), when it was last edited, and three actions: Edit, Duplicate ("Make a copy of this list") and the PDF download ("Print-ready checklist"). A card with no sections reads "No sections yet. Open it and build the first one."

• Search ("Search lists, sections, or a single shot") matches names, descriptions, section names and every shot line, so typing "vows" finds a list whose title never says it. Press Escape or × to clear. No match: "Nothing matches ." with Clear search.
• Sort offers Recently edited, Name and Most shots. Your choice is remembered.

With no lists yet: Build the list once, "A shot list you write once and reuse every wedding. Group it into sections, duplicate it for each couple, edit for their day, and send your second shooter out with the printed checklist." and Create your first shot list.

Build a list

Click New shot list. The builder's subtitle explains the three things worth knowing: "Drag to reorder. Paste a whole list at once. Everything saves as you go."

1. Type a Name ("Standard wedding day") and, if you like, a Description ("When you'd reach for this list, and who it's for").
2. Add a section from the + in the sticky rail. The picker is headed Start from a wedding-day section and offers pre-filled starters: Getting ready, Details, First look, Ceremony, Family portraits, Wedding party, Couple portraits, Reception details, Toasts and dances, Sendoff. Or pick Blank section. Add another section at the bottom of the page does the same.
3. Name the section and type shots one per line. An empty section reads "Nothing here yet. Paste a whole list at once if you have one."

Paste a whole list

Paste twelve lines into a shot and you get twelve shots. Bullets and "1." numbering are stripped. This is the fastest way in if your list already lives in Notes or a document.

Reorder

Drag sections, and drag shots within or between sections, by their grip handles. The handles are also keyboard buttons: focus one and press Arrow Up or Arrow Down to move the row.

Undo

Deleting a section shows a toast with Undo. Click it before the toast fades to bring the section back.

Saving

The sticky rail shows a live count ("3 sections · 24 shots") and a save-state chip that reads Saved or shows a pulse while saving. Everything saves as you go; Save (Cmd+S) forces a save right now. Collapse all folds every section so a long list is one screen.

Download, duplicate, delete

• Download PDF produces a print-ready checklist with the list name, each section and a tick box per shot.
• Duplicate makes a copy ("Duplicated: ") so you can tailor it for one couple without touching your master.
• Delete asks "Delete this shot list?".

All three are in the builder header; Duplicate and the PDF are also on each card of the list page.
