Layout and sections

Choose which sections the couple's page shows, in what order, and understand which sections each look supports.

The Layout panel is where you decide what the couple's page contains. Every other panel edits the inside of a section; this one decides whether the section exists and where it sits.

Open the panel

Click Layout at the top of the rail. The panel is titled Section order: "Drag to reorder. Toggle to hide. Hidden sections disappear and everything below shifts up. Locked sections always show; click one to edit it."

The sections

Section What it is Locked? Needs
Hero / cover The cover at the top with the couple's names. Yes
Intro line A short line under the cover. No
Feature film The main film. Yes A main film on the page.
Personal note Your note and signature. No
Extra films The other films. No At least one extra film.
Downloads The download control. No Downloads switched on for this page.
Review CTA The review prompt and button. No
Upsells Paid extras from your catalog. No
Vendor credits Photographer, venue and so on. No
Footer / signoff Studio name, links and sign-off line. Yes

Chapters (a "moments" section) are not offered right now.

Locked sections

Locked rows carry a padlock with the tooltip Always visible, plus click the row to edit it where a panel sits behind them. They also show a pencil. Clicking a locked row opens the panel that edits it: Hero / cover opens Cover, Feature film opens Films, Footer / signoff opens Footer. A locked section cannot be hidden or dragged.

The "no data" chip

A section whose data is missing shows a grey no data chip. Its tooltip: "No data for this section yet. It won't show on the public page even if toggled on." Add the data (an extra film, switch downloads on) and the chip goes away.

Reorder sections

  1. Press and hold a row's grip.
  2. Drag it above or below another row.
  3. Let go. The page redraws and the order is saved.

Locked rows keep their place; unlocked rows move around them.

Hide or show a section

Flip the toggle on the row. A hidden section disappears from the couple's page and everything below moves up. Hiding a section does not delete what is in it; show it again and the content returns.

The panels for Review, Upsells, Vendors and Access tell you when their section is hidden and offer a Show it button. See The gallery editor.

What each look supports

Not every look has every section. A section that a look does not have is not listed in Layout for that gallery.

Look What is different
Gallery No separate Extra films or Downloads row. The main film and the extras share one thumbnail rail, and downloading is part of it.
Cinematic No Downloads row. The download control lives in the floating action bar.
Atelier No Extra films row. Extras are listed inside Downloads as typeset lines.
Heritage No Extra films row (extras appear with Downloads as programme entries) and no Footer at all. The page ends on the review prompt. The Footer panel is not offered.
Minimal, Editorial, Storybook, Liquid Glass Every section listed above.

The Review warning

If the Review section is on but no Google review link is saved, the Layout panel shows a persistent line under the row: No review link saved, so this shows without a button. with an Add one in Review link. It stays until you paste a link in the Review panel. See Review CTA.

If it didn't work

  • A section you toggled on does not show on the couple's page. Look for the no data chip. Downloads need downloads switched on; Extra films needs at least one extra film to have landed.
  • You cannot drag a row. It is locked. Hero, Feature film and Footer stay where the look puts them.
  • The couple's page shows the old order. Ask them to reload. The order is applied to the page at the moment it is served.
  • There is no Footer in Layout. The gallery uses Heritage. Switch looks in the Preset menu if you need a footer; see Looks and presets.
