The dashboard

Read the hero, the six stat tiles and the Today cards, and choose which widgets you see with the Widgets button.

The dashboard is the first thing you see in Manage. Click Dashboard in the sidebar or the Hailo mark in the top bar to come back to it.

The hero

  • The date, for example "Thursday · June 5".
  • The weather pill. Click it (tooltip "Change location") to open the "Weather location" popover. Type a city or ZIP in City or ZIP and submit, or click Use automatic location to go back to Hailo's own guess. Hailo uses your studio address from Settings > Your details when it has one, otherwise your approximate location. The weather also sets the sky behind the hero (rain, sun, cloud, snow, fog, lightning, stars).
  • The greeting: "Good morning", "Good afternoon" or "Good evening" with your first name, on your own time zone.
  • The lead line, one of: "You have a wedding today.", "You have a wedding tomorrow.", "You have a wedding in N days.", "Your next wedding is N days out.", "N films on the bench.", or "All quiet" followed by "the calendar's open."
  • The quote of the day. It changes daily. Click the shuffle control (tooltip "Show another quote") for a different one.

Ask Hailo

The bar under the hero with the placeholder Ask Hailo… answers questions about your leads, schedule and money, and can draft an email, a note, a calendar block or a status change for you to confirm. Previous chats opens your saved conversations. See Ask Hailo.

The six stat tiles

Tile Value Click goes to
Active leads New and Contacted leads inside your active-lead window. Leads, filtered to active.
Booked clients Clients with status Booked. Clients, filtered to Booked.
Next shoot "Today" or the number of days, for example "12d". That client's record, or the calendar when nothing is booked.
Upcoming weddings Weddings in the next 90 days. The calendar.
Revenue A switcher: YTD (net collected this year) or Upcoming (still to collect this year). Finance.
Goals Overall progress, or "Set up" until you have a plan. Goals.

Money is shortened: $980, $84k, $1.2M.

Widgets

Everything under the tiles is a widget. You choose which show and in what order.

Organize mode

  1. Click Widgets at the bottom left (tooltip "Add or rearrange widgets"). The button changes to Done.
  2. Drag a widget to move it. The grid fills gaps on its own.
  3. Click a widget's × to hide it. It moves to the Add widgets tray that appears in organize mode.
  4. Click a widget in the tray to bring it back.
  5. Click Done.

Your layout is saved to your account, so it follows you between Macs.

What each widget shows

Edit time. Hours in your editor over 1D, 7D, 30D or 1Y, a pulse when the tracker reported in the last two minutes, the top three projects and an "Unlinked NLE time" row for hours not yet tied to a wedding. "No editing in this window" means the tracker is running but idle; a different message tells you it has never reported. Click through to Editing time.

Money. Landing, Outstanding and Overdue with a collected-by-month sparkline. See Revenue.

Momentum. A 0 to 100 score built from revenue (35%), leads (30%), posting (20%) and pipeline (15%); 70 is steady. Open it for the per-part arrows. Posting counts against a target of 6 posts per 14 days. See Momentum.

Goals. Revenue, Weddings and On-time bars. With no plan: "No plan yet" and "Set your revenue and wedding targets to track pace all year." See Goals.

Instagram. Your recent posts (video and multi-photo marked), follower count, week-over-week growth once there are five days of history, and your posting streak. Not connected: "Connect Instagram to see your recent posts, follower growth, and posting streak right here on your dashboard." Instagram shares only cadence and follower count with Hailo, not likes, comments or insights. See Instagram.

Calendar and Year at a glance. This month's shoots, and a heatmap of the year. Both link to The calendar.

Today. The action cards described below. Empty: "Inbox zero. Cinematic." with a New lead button.

Shoot prep. For your next wedding: Contract, Deposit, Questionnaire, Timeline, each ticked when done. Empty: "No upcoming shoot to prep for."

On the bench. Films in progress with a progress bar (queued, running, awaiting review, approved). A film turns amber when it is more than 8 weeks past the wedding. Empty: "No films in progress. Tag a wedding for edit when you're ready to start cutting."

Films in the queue. Past weddings with no film started.

This week. Your next seven days.

Leads to chase. Open leads where you owe the reply.

Recently delivered. Films whose galleries went live. Empty: "Nothing shipped yet. When you publish a delivery, it lands here."

Pipeline. Counts at each stage from lead to booked.

Proposals out. Empty: "No proposals waiting on a reply."

Recent activity. Empty: "No recent messages logged."

The Today action cards

Cards appear only when there is something to act on. Each has an eyebrow, a count, a headline, one line of context and a button.

Troubleshooting

The greeting says evening at lunchtime. Your time zone is wrong. Fix it under Settings > Your details.

The weather is for the wrong town. Click the pill and type your city or ZIP, or set your studio address under Settings > Your details.

A widget disappeared. Click Widgets, find it in the Add widgets tray, click it, then Done.

  • Your detailsSet the business name, owner, email, phone, website and studio link name that couples see on proposals, invoices and delivery pages.
