The progress screen
Read every part of the progress card while an analysis runs, what the Edit pill in the top bar shows, and how you are told when it finishes.
While an analysis runs, the workspace shows one card that is the whole screen: the progress card. It tells you which phase you are in, how far along it is, which clip is being worked on, and how long is left. This article names every element on it.
The progress card
Stage banner
The top line reads the current phase: Reading Your Footage, Studying Every Scene, Choosing Your Best Takes or Building Your Timeline. On plans with a token cap, a pill on the right reads N tokens left and moves as the run spends them. The banner deliberately does not show a percent, so the two numbers are never confused.
ETA and marquee
Under the banner, a line shows the time remaining, the current stage and the clip count. Before Hailo has a pace it reads estimating….
Contact sheet
Six frames from the clips being worked on, with the current one ringed. It scrolls as the run moves through the footage.
Run context
The couple and the folder this run is working on, so a card you left open for an hour still says whose wedding it is.
The expectation line
"N clips usually takes about {range}", a deliberately wide range based on how long runs of this size have taken, so you can plan your evening.
The reassurance line
Keep working anywhere in Hailo. This keeps running. Closing Hailo stops it, and it resumes on its own next time you open.
That is the rule in one line. Switch wings freely; quit and the run pauses until you are back.
Hero counter
A large "Clip N of M" for the current stage, with a live line under it naming the clip being processed.
Ready button
When you open a project that has been scanned but not started (for example one restored after a quit), the card shows an Analyze button with the word "ready" beside it instead of a moving bar. Click it to start.
Subline
An animated stage icon, a short quip about what Hailo is doing, and the ETA.
Pace row and progress bar
A thin bar with the overall percent, which only ever climbs. Beside it, the pace as clips per minute once Hailo has enough clips to measure. At the end of the bar sits a pause icon; its tooltip reads "Pause at the next stage boundary. State is saved; resume any time." See Pause, resume and failures.
Per-run checklist
One row per job in this run, each marked queued, running, done or failed as it goes. A run that only trims never lists the labeling rows.
Delete this analysis
At the bottom of the card. During a run it reads Stop and delete this analysis. Click it and an inline question appears: "Stop the run and delete it? Everything worked out so far goes. Your footage stays where it is." with Delete and Keep it. This is the way out of a run you started by mistake; there is no separate stop button. See Deleting a project.
The mini dashboard
To the right of the card:

Build log
If you are the studio owner, a Build log section under the card shows the raw log with a Copy button, useful when sending feedback about a run.
What the top bar shows
While a run is going, the Edit pill in the top bar glows and carries a thin progress bar underneath, on every wing. Hover it for "Pipeline: {stage} · N% · {couple}". A paused run shows the pill in its paused style with "paused" in the tooltip. The bar disappears when the run completes or fails.
When a run finishes
- The card switches to its done state: "N clips analyzed", the list of what the run made with Open in {editor} buttons, and the Saved to path. See What the run made.
- The status pill reads complete, or finishing up while a ceremony, speeches or blueprint film is still building behind the finished analysis.
- Hailo's bell rings with a notification for the finished run (the Pipeline finished category under Settings > Notifications). A failed run rings the bell too.
- Inside the workspace, the engine's own bell keeps a short history: "Pipeline finished, ready in {editor}", "Interrupted at {stage}, resuming automatically", and "Pipeline error, check the log".
- The launchpad tile flips to Ready to cut and the couple's Edit hub offers Open the workspace.
Troubleshooting
The bar has not moved in a while. Some stages are long per clip (watching each clip, transcribing speech). Check the LATEST cell and the live clip line; if they are still changing, the run is fine.
The card says Analysis stopped. See Pause, resume and failures for each message and what to do.
The top bar shows progress but the workspace is empty. Open the Edit wing; the card is on the project the run belongs to. The launchpad tile with Analyzing now takes you there.
