Page text and the personal note

Set the client, page title, intro text, personal note, sign-off and signature photo the couple reads.

The Page panel holds the words on the page: who it is for, the title, an intro line and the personal note with your signature.

Open the panel

Click Page in the rail.

Client

The Client row shows the couple this gallery belongs to, or a greyed No client attached. Click Change to pick a different client.

The footnote explains what the client is used for: "Their names fill the cover when you have not typed a title, and it is who Hailo emails later. The link ending does not change."

Changing the client does not change:

  • the link ending, in case the link is already in someone's hands (see Custom link ending);
  • the page title you typed;
  • which project the films belong to.

Page title

The Page title field sets the headline the couple sees on the cover. Leave it empty and the headline is the couple's names. Type something and that wins. (A page with no client and no title shows "Your wedding film".)

This is separate from the name at the top of the editor, which is what you see on cards inside Hailo.

Intro text

Intro text (markdown), placeholder "A short note opening the page…". A line or two under the cover. Markdown works for emphasis and links. To take the whole section off the page, the panel points you to Layout: "Hide this section in the Layout panel."

Personal note

Note (markdown), placeholder "Dear Sarah & Michael, thank you. It was an honor…". A new gallery arrives with a starter note addressed to the couple (see Create a gallery); replace it with your own words.

Sign-off, placeholder "Your name". Whatever you type appears under the note. A leading dash is removed on the page.

The signature photo

The row under the sign-off shows the photo that appears beside your name, with Change and Remove. If you have not set one for this gallery, your studio profile photo is used; with neither, no photo is shown.

What the couple sees

Under the note: a hairline, your photo, your sign-off name and a role line that defaults to your studio name.

If it didn't work

  • The cover shows "Your wedding film" instead of their names. No client is attached and no title is set. Click Change and pick the couple, or type a Page title.
  • The note does not appear on the page. The Personal note section is hidden in Layout. See Layout and sections.
  • The starter note is still there. Hailo only seeds it once; type over it.

  • Create a galleryStart a new gallery for a couple in two steps, drop in the films and open the editor.
