What the couple sees

Walk through the couple's gallery from the splash to the footer, and every page they can land on.

The couple opens their link in any browser, on a phone or a computer. This is what they meet, in order, and what they see when something is not right with the link.

  1. Splash (if you switched it on). Your studio name, their initials in a ring, their names, the date, one line (Your film is ready unless you changed it) and the button Enter your gallery. Enter or Space also works. Their browser remembers they have entered.
  2. Music (if you added a track). A Sound chip toggles it (Turn the music on / Turn the music off). It fades out when a film plays and comes back after.
  3. Cover. The photo, banner video or loop cut from the film, with the headline (their names or your page title).
  4. Intro line.
  5. Feature film. The main film, with the same player and controls on every look. The player chooses quality by connection, up to 4K where a 4K copy exists, and has a quality control.
  6. Personal note with your signature.
  7. Extra films, laid out as the look dictates: a rail, a list, programme entries.
  8. Downloads. A Download control that opens the sheet described below.
  9. Review prompt with your line and a button to your Google review link.
  10. Upsells, each with a Buy button. See Upsell checkout.
  11. Vendor credits.
  12. Footer: your studio name, social icons and sign-off line. (Heritage ends on the review prompt instead.)

Which of these appear, and in what order, is yours to set in Layout.

Downloading

Clicking Download opens a sheet titled Download:

  • One row per film with a checkbox (all ticked to start). Films with a 4K copy carry a 4K tag.
  • A Quality menu appears only when at least one film has a 4K copy: 4K, full quality, large files or HD 1080p, smaller, faster.
  • Cancel or Download. With several films ticked the button reads Download N films and a note appears: "Your browser may ask permission to save more than one file."

Files save straight to their downloads folder, named after the couple and the film (their names, a hyphen, then the film name, ending in .mp4). Nothing opens in a new window.

Downloads only work on a published, unexpired gallery with downloads on. If the gallery has a password, the download asks for it first.

Pages the couple can land on

When What they see
The gallery has a password The lock screen: your studio name, a headline (their names unless you set one), "This film gallery is private. Please enter the password shared with you." (or your message), a Password field and Unlock. Wrong password: "That password didn't match. Try again?" Too many tries: "Too many tries in a row. Give it a minute, then try again." Under the form: "Don't have the password? Email ".
The expiry date has passed This link has expired. "The link to is no longer active. <Studio> can send you a fresh one." An <strong>Email <Studio></strong> button. "Don't worry. Your film is safe and ready. Expired links happen when a gallery has a set 'available until' date for privacy."</td> </tr> <tr> <td>The gallery is a draft or unpublished</td> <td><strong>Not ready just yet</strong>. "<Studio> is still putting <title> together. You'll get a link as soon as it's ready." An <strong>Email <Studio></strong> button. "If you had this page open a moment ago, it's been taken down for a short while. Nothing is lost."</td> </tr> <tr> <td>The link matches nothing (a typo, a truncated paste)</td> <td><strong>This link doesn't lead to a film</strong>. "Check the link you were sent. A missing letter or an extra space is usually all it is." "If it still doesn't open, ask the person who sent it for a fresh one." This page carries no studio branding, because there is no gallery to take it from.</td> </tr> <tr> <td>They clicked "we've saved them" in a download reminder</td> <td><strong>That's it. No more reminders</strong>. "Thanks for letting us know your films are saved. Your gallery stays right where it is, so you can come back to it any time."
