Multi-day weddings
Confirm what each day of a multi-day wedding is so Hailo labels every day with the right set of moments.
When the footage you drop spans more than one day, intake adds a step where you confirm what each day was. A rehearsal dinner and a wedding day need different labels, and Hailo sorts each day with the right set. Single-day drops skip this step entirely.
The days step
After the review screen, if Hailo finds clips from two or more days, you see This wedding spans multiple days with the line "Confirm what each day is: Hailo sorts each one with the right labels." While Hailo works out the days it shows Finding your days….
Each day gets a row showing:
- the date and a Day N label,
- how many clips were shot that day (expand Folders to see which folders they came from, and Hide clips to collapse it again),
- a dropdown for the day type,
- a + button (Another type of event happened this day) for a day that held two events, such as a welcome party in the evening after a couple session,
- Change day on a clip block (This footage belongs to another day) for the case where a camera's clock put footage on the wrong date.
Set each dropdown, then click Next. Back returns to the review screen.
Day types

How Hailo picks the wedding day
Hailo looks for the wedding day on its own and badges it under that day: Wedding day confirmed when it is sure, or Likely the wedding day when it is less so. When it is confident it sets that day's dropdown to Wedding day for you and says so in a note beside it. If another day was already set to Wedding day, that one flips to Other. You can change any of this.
Dates come from the couple's record
The dates on this screen are anchored to the couple's wedding date in Manage, not only to the camera clocks. If a camera was set to the wrong year, the day still shows on the real wedding date, and the other days fall into place around it.
Moments on non-wedding days
The wedding day is labeled with the standard wedding moments: prep, first look, ceremony, portraits, reception, speeches, dancing, details and establishing shots.
Every other day type uses a general set instead: Establishing, Couple, Guests, Candid, Portrait, Activity, Speeches, Dining, Detail and Unclassified. Offering "Ceremony" on a rehearsal-dinner clip would be offering an impossible answer, so those days never see the wedding vocabulary, and when you correct a clip on those days the picker shows the general set. Day headers in results
In the clip grid, a multi-day project shows a header for each day reading "{date} · {day type} · N clips". Click a header to collapse or expand that day; the state is remembered while you work. Timelines follow the same order, so the rehearsal dinner sits before the wedding day.
Troubleshooting
A day is missing or two days are merged. Camera clocks decide which clips share a day. Use Change day on the misplaced block to move it, or + to add a second event to a day that held two.
Every day shows the same date. The couple's wedding date is missing in Manage, so Hailo has nothing to anchor to. Add it on the couple's record and run intake again.
The wedding day was not detected. Hailo could not tell which day was the wedding. Set the dropdown to Wedding day yourself; Hailo does not need the badge to sort the day correctly.
