Upsells

Offer paid extras on the gallery, pulled from your catalog so names and prices stay in sync.

Upsells are paid extras the couple can buy from their gallery: a longer cut, a parents' edit, a USB, an extra film. They come from your catalog, so the price on the gallery is always the price in your catalog.

Open the panel

Click Upsells in the rail. The lead reads: "Paid extras the couple can buy from this page. Pulled from your catalog (Packages + à la carte) so prices stay current. Descriptions save back to the catalog, so quotes show the same text."

With nothing added yet: "Nothing offered yet. Pull from your catalog so prices + names stay in sync."

Add an extra

  1. Click + Add from catalog.
  2. The picker titled Add upsells from your catalog opens with a Search… field. Type to filter.
  3. Click an item to add it.

Each row shows a pill (Package or À la carte), the item's name and its price. Remove a row with its x (Remove).

There is no custom-row option for upsells; every extra comes from the catalog so its price stays live-linked. (A custom row from an older gallery still shows with a Custom pill.)

Describe an extra

Each catalog row has a description box, placeholder "Describe it for the couple. What it includes, why it's worth adding." What you type here saves to the catalog item itself, so the same text follows that item onto proposals and every other gallery.

An empty catalog

With no packages or à la carte items the button is disabled and reads + Add from catalog (empty), tooltip "No packages or à la carte items yet. Add them in Catalog first." Set up your catalog in Manage; see Catalog, packages and add-ons.

Item not found

If a catalog item behind a row is deleted or deactivated the row reads (item not found. Check your catalog). Remove the row, or reactivate the item.

How the couple buys

Each extra has a Buy button on the page. Checkout runs through Stripe on your connected account, and the couple lands back on the gallery with a confirmation. See Upsell checkout.

If it didn't work

  • The Buy button is missing or the Upsells section does not show. Upsells is hidden in Layout, or the item has no price.
  • The couple sees "The studio hasn't finished setting up payments yet." Connect Stripe in Settings > Integrations. See Stripe.
  • A row says "(item not found...)". The catalog item is gone. Remove the row and add a current one.
